Histoire:

Val et moi (chris) sommes deux amoureux de la nature. Après de nombreuses ballades en France (et pays frontaliers), nous démarrons une nouvelle aventure et venons vivre en Islande en Septembre 2002.

Aujourd'hui:

Nous y sommes toujours.

Notre goût pour la photographie s'amplifia au contact de ce nouveau terrain de jeu, avec la découverte de l’avifaune exceptionnelle et unique, de paysages lunaires et désertiques plus magnifiques les uns que les autres, de glaciers et de biens d’autres choses encore.

C’est en 2005 que nous acquérons notre premier reflex numérique, le Canon 350D de Val. Je rangerai, peu a peu mon fidèle argentique (Canon 500N) au profit d'un équipement numérique et glisserai doucement vers la photo animalière, en y entrainant Val.


C’est en 2008 que notre activité photographique démarre vraiment avec l’acquisition du Canon 450D et de l’objectif 300mm f/4L IS USM et je me lance dans la photo “animalière” de façon plus poussée.

Nous finissons par créer chacun notre blog, et un site commun “Duo-Nature”, sur lequel vous pouvez découvrir nos clichés. Chaque jour, nous découvrons Dame nature sous un nouvel angle, mais également toute la difficulté de la photo dite “Nature”, le bon cadrage, la bonne lumière, la bonne expo, etc… Mais chaque jour nous progressons et espérons pouvoir vous faire partager nos moments privilégiés de photographes amateurs et d’amoureux de la nature.

History:
Val and I (Chris) love to walk and wonder in nature. After several nature trips in France (and surroundings), we started a new adventure in September 2002 and started to live in Iceland.

Today:
We are still living in Iceland.
Our hobby (nature photography) will naturely be quickly developed in contact of such an amazing landscape, and the discovery of the birds life will definitively push us in the wildlife photography. We could, indeed, not resist to the beauty of the lava field, of desertic areas, and of birds colony..
In 2005, we bought our first digital camera, the canon 350D of Val. I will slowly forget to use my canon 500N, and will start to be interested by nature photography. Val will also slowly follow my steps.
In 2008, our photography activity really started and we bought the canon 450D and the 300mm f/4L IS USM lens. Then, I intensively started to take picture of the wildlife with special attention to birds.

In 2008, we both created a blog, in which we present our day-to-day pictures, and now we have the "Duo-Nature" gallery, in which you can see most of our pictures. Every day, we discover new type of approaches, explore new subject, but also all the difficult part of nature photography, the right angle, the good composition, the good light or reflection, but also and most importantly, how to take pictures and to respect the environment in which we live. We hope that this gallery will help us to share our experience and pleasure.
